Infrastructure Stocktake
The key purpose of the infrastructure stocktake (announced in the
2003 Budget) is to give an accurate snapshot of the state of New
Zealand's transport, energy, telecommunications and water
infrastructure. It also aims to establish a better understanding of
the links between infrastructure, sustainable development and growth
and to establish principles to guide government decision-making.
